Founded in 2004, a goal of the original board of directors was to establish an endowed fund that would be available to assist current and future TCU Hispanic students.  The Greg Trevino Memorial Scholarship was established in 2008 by Greg’s family, friends and members of the Hispanic Alumni Association. The first award of this scholarship was given to a current TCU student for the 2009 - 2010 academic year. Greg Trevino was one of the founders of the HAA, a TCU alumnus of the class of 1995, and TCU’s former Intercultural Services Director.
