Alumni Travel Programs

TCU Insider Trips are designed to offer exclusive opportunities for alumni, parents and friends that only their TCU connections can provide.  Horned Frogs from across the country come together to enjoy lifelong learning in the most unique ways.  From Washington D.C. to Paris and Normandy, different trips are offered for different interests.

Travel internationally with TCU alumni, parents and friends!

For the second year, the TCU Alumni Association has partnered with two excellent companies that specialize in travel for school and college alumni associations across the United States – Gohagan & Company and Odyssey’s Unlimited. These two companies will provide their experienced, professional tour directors as well as outstanding guides. TCU personnel will also travel with the group.

The Alumni Association will offer three trips this year. Space is limited, so please respond as soon as possible by returning the registration form. First come, first served.

  • Treasures of Peru – February 29 – March 10, 2016 – Limited to 12 to 24 guests; from $4,499 per person, including air from DFW (can arrange air fare from other cities); provided by Odyssey’s Unlimited.

    A land of treasures archaeological, cultural and natural, Peru draws those eager to learn about the distant past – and encounter a fascinating present of colonial and indigenous influences. This 11-day trip takes in some of the country’s highlights – Cuzco, Machu Picchu, and Lake Titicaca – marvel at the riches of an intriguing land somewhat off the beaten path.

  • Celtic Lands – May 23 – June 1, 2016 - from $6,195 per person (Land only, but can arrange air fare) – Five-star small ship; provided by Gohagan & Company.

    Cruise from Glasgow, Scotland, to Ireland, Wales, and France. Visit historic D-Day landing, walking the hallowed beaches of Normandy, France, with Dwight David Eisenhower II, grandson of General and President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Lose yourself in the austere beauty of the Inner Hebridean isles of Iona, Mull and Skye. Visit the charming seaside town of Ayr; walk in the footsteps of medieval and present-day princes in North Wales; and view the treasures of rich Celtic heritage in Dublin.

  • Portrait of Italy – June 7 – 23, 2016 - $4,895 per person including air from DFW (can arrange air fare from other cities); $3,895 per person land only - Limited to 12 to 24 guests. Hosted by TCU Art History Professor, Dr. Mark Thistlethwaite, holder of the Kay and Velma Kimbell Chair of Art History; provided by Odyssey’s Unlimited.

    From the breathtaking Amalfi Coast to eternal Rome, through the gentle Umbrian and Tuscan countryside to timeless Venice, this leisurely tour showcases ancient sites, contemporary life, priceless art and beautiful natural scenery. Stay in unique accommodations in the Tuscan countryside and a medieval village.
